Nick and I would like to keep a blog while we are in Peru to keep you guys updated on what we are doing while we are living and volunteering in Cusco. We hope you read and enjoy our stories and hopefully some pictures.. if we can figure out how to post them!
A BIG thanks to all of you who helped support us while we planned this trip! We are thrilled to be involved with such a great organization and to have the opportunity to put our passions, skills and knowledge towards something wonderful.
We are leaving for Peru on the 14th of July, arriving in Cusco the morning of the 15th. Cusco is at roughly 11,000 ft...we are hoping our bodies can handle the change with the help of a little modern medicine and some coca tea. We are volunteering at a children's hospital and will be working with the healthcare program. We have a week of orientation before going on site which is when we will get more details about the actual work we will be doing inside the clinic!
We will update again when we are in Peru.
